The Institute of Education at the University of Zurich invites applications for a professorship in inclusion and diversity (open rank). The position should be filled by 1 August 2022.
Candidates should have research interests in the field of inclusion and diversity in education. The appointee will also be expected to teach courses in our Educational Science program. The appointment will be made either at the rank of full professor or assistant professor (tenure track), depending on the qualifications of the successful candidate.
Candidates must have a PhD at the time of application and a record of academic excellence in the field of inclusion and diversity, with a focus on the impact of disability. This could include theoretical and contextual analyses of inclusion, exclusion, and diversity as well as empirical research on inclusion and diversity in extracurricular contexts. Evidence of interest in intersectionality or further dimensions of diversity would also be desirable. We value international visibility and good international research networks.
Teaching may be carried out in English. Non-German speaking candidates are expected to acquire a working knowledge of German within the first three years of appointment.
