The University of Zurich invites applications for a professorship for teaching in upper secondary education in general academic and economic subjects with a special focus on digital learning (open rank).
The position should be filled by the earliest opportunity. Depending on the qualifications of the appointee, the professorship will take the form of a chair or an assistant professorship with tenure track.
This professorship is part of the Institute of Education and in collaborations with other professorships it is responsible for the education and training and further education of teachers at the upper secondary level. A further requirement is specific didactical knowledge in the field of economic education and literacy. Furthermore, it is also engaged in BA, MA and PhD study courses in educational science. The holder of this position will represent Didactics of Teaching for general academic and economic subjects at upper secondary level in research and teaching with a specific focus on digital learning.
Candidates should have an excellent scientific track record in teaching in upper secondary education in general academic and economic subjects. For an associate or full professorship a habilitation or equivalent qualification is expected.
Also requested is
a record in educational research or research on learning and teaching specific school subjects at the upper secondary level in combination with a qualification in the teaching of economics and law at the upper secondary level
or a qualification in evidence-based subject-specific didactics in economic and law
and teaching experience at the upper secondary level or experience in scientific and practical teacher training at upper secondary level.
