PostDoc position with the ERC Advanced Project GeoViSense for 2021
The Geographic Information Visualization and Analysis (GIVA) group at the University of Zurich invites applications for a post-doctoral researcher position in the context of the ERC Advanced Project GeoViSense, led by the GIVA group head and PI Sara Irina Fabrikant. This project, at the intersection of GIScience (geovisual analytics) and cognitive neuroscience aims to study how we make space-time decisions with geographic information displays (GIDs) in varying mobile decision making contexts, and to develop respective display design guidelines for future user, task, and context-responsive GIDs to better support efficient and effective decision making on the go.
A PhD in Cognitive|Neuro Science, Computer|Data Science and/or well-established experience in empirical behavioral research with human participants (indoors|outdoors), including the collection|analyses of psycho-physiological data streams (i.e., EEG, EDA, EMG, or related space-time data) are essential. You have excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Programming for Virtual Reality environments and/or mobile applications would be an asset.
