MTs are rather small cysteine-rich proteins with the ability to coordinate a number of transition metal ions. The positions are standard full-time PhD positions, formally designated 60% based on the officially assigned salary class.

Your responsibilities

Your research will span the entire area from identifying new and exciting protein sequences, cloning and recombinant protein production, purification and initial spectroscopic and spectrometric characterisation (UV, CD, AAS, ESI-MS, MALDI, etc), followed by structural studies with NMR and X-ray or functional analyses in collaboration with groups from the biological field.

Your profile

Applications must have a Master's Degree in Natural Sciences, a Master's Degree in Chemistry is preferred but not strictly required.
