Laboratory Technician in mRNA research

We are currently looking for a laboratory technician to join our team working on mRNA-based therapies and vaccines against cancer and infectious diseases. The research activities of our group include basic and translational research in vitro and in vivo in the fields of immunology and oncology.

Your responsibilities

The successful candidate will conduct experimental research on mRNA-based therapies and will work on optimizing the mRNA production process, including mRNA purification with HPLC but also be involved in the development of optimized mRNA designs for therapeutic applications. The work is performed in closecollaboration with other researchers in the department as well as with collaborators in the Zürich environment. The candidate will perform experiments with cell culture and molecular biology techniques. Therefore, the candidate is expected to have hands-on experience with cell culture, standard molecular biology techniques (e.g. ELISA, PCR etc.). Practical experience with experimental mouse models would be an advantage. Other responsibilities include presentation of data, organization of the lab as well as maintenance of equipment.
