Assistant Professorship (non tenure-track) for Preventive Geriatrics
The position is to be established at the Department of Geriatrics of the University Hospital Zurich, immediately available and limited to a total duration of 6 years.
The Assistant Professor is expected to represent the discipline in research, teaching and clinical services. The professorship will devote equal shares to clinical care of patients and to teaching and research. Prevention of age-related diseases and digitization in medicine are very timely research topics at the research hub Zurich. The University of Zurich, the University Hospital of Zurich and the nearby Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich offer an excellent environment for motivated and qualified junior clinician scientist in these research areas.
Successful candidates have acquired substantial clinical experience in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and completed a habilitation or have equivalent qualification. Trustable interest in geriatrics and the development of innovative approaches to support healthy aging are additional important qualifications. Academic potential and documented scientific expertise in bioinformatics and in the development of clinically applicable digital solutions for the implementation of preventive strategies are additional assets. Ideally, your research has already gained significant international recognition and is already supported by the acquisition of competitive research funding. Documented leadership in geriatrics at the attending physician level is welcome.
You have an interactive personality and like to cooperate in interdisciplinary teams. Excellent organizational skills and high resilience to stress are expected.
