Start of employment 1 April 2026 or by agreement, temporaryThe Implementation Science in Nursing Group is based at the Medical Faculty's Institute for Implementation Science in Health Care and the University Hospital Zurich's Center of Clinical Nursing Science. Our research focuses on family health interventions and innovative, nurse-led models of care, primarily in acute-critical settings. We have a dual focus on intervention and implementation science research.
We invite applications for a 4-year Research Nurse/Project Coordinator position in the SNSF-funded FICUScale implementation-effectiveness trial, which investigates the national scale-up of an evidence-informed, family-focused model of care in intensive care units (FICUS). This position will offer excellent opportunities to strengthen your research project skills in a dynamic, clinical setting and an interdisciplinary, multi-lingual team.
Your responsibilities
- Collaborate with different research partners and teams involved in the project across Switzerland and internationally.
- Coordinate project timelines, tasks and team meetings/events. Organize workshops and meetings.
- Support patient and public involvement and engagement strategy and coordinate activities of the patient and family member advisory board.
- Support trial preparation, including ethics submission, SOP development, study documents, and data capture systems set-up in collaboration with the group's research coordinator.
- Initiate study sites, train local research teams, and support study coordination and data collection at different sites, close-out visits.
- Collect survey and interview data, manage data capture system.
- Ensure GCP-conformity, data quality assurance and -monitoring strategy in collaboration with the group's research coordinator.
- Support the delivery of the study intervention
- Implement communication plan.
- Prepare reports and manage communication with different bodies.
Your profile
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Health or Social Sciences or equivalent qualification.
- Work experience in clinical research contexts and / or nursing in acute-critical care contexts.
- Prior experience in research project management or successfully managing multi-center research projects in clinical health care settings.
- Strong interest in family-focused health care, critical care, and nursing.
- Proficiency in project management, with excellent planning and coordination skills, including the ability to anticipate and respond to project challenges.
- Some expertise in implementation processes of novel intervention or in training colleagues is an advantage.
- Sound command of written and spoken German and English. Communication skills in Italian or French is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enjoys and excels in collaborating with diverse groups, including patients, families, clinicians, and researchers throughout Switzerland.
- Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team
- Command of MS Office, completed GCP Training, prior experience in data capture systems (such as REDCap).
