Research Assistant for the project "Development of Adolescents' Metacognitive Control Skills" 20 - 40 %

At the Department of Psychology, we are collecting data in classrooms, to investigate the judgments and decisions that adolescents are making when working on learning tasks. In January and February, we are visiting several schools for data collection. We are looking for a research assistant for the months January and February who can support us with visiting schools, informing participants about the research, and being present in school classes when the adolescent participants complete the research tasks.

Your responsibilities

As a student research assistant, you:
  • support the research team with the preparation of data collection
  • travel to schools in the german speaking part of Switzerland to visit schools (8th grade classes)
  • organize that the data is collected in classrooms and you are present during the data collection to assist and to answer questions
  • support the team with the preparation of the data for data analysis

Your profile

  • You study psychology, educational sciences, or a related subject
  • You are reliable
  • You are flexible in January and February
  • You speak German fluently
  • You are good communication skills and feel comfortable to work with adolescents in classrooms
