Start of employment 01.08.2027, permanent employmentThe Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich invites applications for a Professorship and Chair of Cardiology.
The Professorship is based at the Department of Cardiology of the University Hospital Zurich and represents the subject in research, teaching and patient care. The professor will be appointed as head of the department.
We are looking for a dynamic, integrative personality with extensive scientific and clinical experience in cardiology. The successful candidate will have a specialist title in cardiology (Facharzt für Kardiologie) as well as a habilitation or equivalent scientific qualification. We invite applications from all fields of cardiology, especially candidates with a focus on interventional cardiology. As he or she will take over the management of the Department of Cardiology, experience as a director or deputy director of a clinical department at a university hospital level is expected. In addition, the successful candidate will have experience in the management of a research group and clinical trials, the acquisition of competitive third-party funding as well as in student teaching, the supervision of qualification theses and the promotion of young academics.

The successful candidate is expected to strengthen the existing as well as new collaborations within the hospital and with other research institutions.
German language skills at level B2 of the common European framework of reference for languages should be available or must be acquired within a reasonable period of time.
