Postdoc in Bioinformatics or Bioinformatician 50 - 100 %
Start of employment immediately or by agreementOur lab at the University of Zurich studies the regulation of gene expression in stem cells and cancer. We are seeking a highly motivated and independent bioinformatician or postdoctoral researcher to strengthen our team and support ongoing and future projects involving large-scale sequencing data.
The successful candidate will work closely with wet-lab scientists and will play a central role in the development, implementation and application of bioinformatics pipelines for gene expression analysis, with a particular emphasis on single-cell RNA sequencing, bulk and single-cell ribosome profiling, proteomics, CRISPR screening data (single-cell CRISPR approaches) and molecular recording data.
The Institute for Regenerative Medicine (IREM) combines cutting-edge stem cell and bioengineering research to advance regenerative therapies. Based on bio-inspired principles and novel biomimetic technologies, IREM research focuses on the replacement and/or regeneration of dysfunctional human cells, tissues or organs to restore or establish physiological functions. Thematic priorities are translational regenerative technologies, cell-based regeneration and biomimetic tissue replacement, gene and cell therapy, stem cell biology and cancer, and translational neuroregeneration.
We offer an interesting working place in an international and dynamic academic environment, exciting projects in an interdisciplinary team, excellent infrastructure, a high quality of life in Zurich and a competitive salary following the UZH regulation. Additional information can be found on our website: www.sendoellab.org. The initial appointment is for a period of two years, with the possibility of extension.
