The position is related to a DIZH Bridge professorship between the University of Zurich (UZH), De-partment of Business Administration, and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), School of Management and Law. You will work on research projects that aim to understand the strategies, processes, and skills that enable firms in the digital economy to systematically and continuously generate innovations, specifically in mobility and transportation.
As a PhD Student, you will become part of the PhD program offered by the Graduate School of Business at the University of Zurich. You will conduct research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Anja Schulze (UZH) and Prof. Dr. Thierry Volery (ZHAW).
Your responsibilities
In addition to research and publication as per the PhD program, the candidate will be involved in teaching activities as a teaching assistant and in applied research projects conducted with industry partners.
Your profile
- a university graduate degree in Business Administration with a distinction of at least "magna cum laude", Economics or related fields and excellent grades
- strong analytical skills
- excellent oral/written communication skills
- motivation to work in an interdisciplinary team and across institutions
- experience in conducting empirical research (exemplified by an empirical master thesis) will be regarded as an asset
