Our group combines the synthesis of natural and non-natural compounds with biological studies to answer questions about structure, function, biosynthesis, and mechanism of action. We offer an exciting PhD Student position in a stimulating and challenging environment directed towards the investigation of novel peptides and derivatives at the interface of chemistry and biology. You will be trained in automated peptide synthesis technology, synthetic organic chemistry, and analytical methods. The ambitious PhD project centers around the total synthesis of peptide natural products and selective peptide modification reactions and is set in a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure, ensuring its successful implementation. Furthermore, you will have unique opportunities to develop a strong interdisciplinary portfolio, fostering personal and professional growth.
