Its mission is to strengthen UZH's international networks and enhance its global visibility. The office supports the Executive Board in shaping the university's external relations and coordinates the implementation of UZH's internationalisation strategy.

The Global Affairs Office of the University of Zurich is looking for an Information and Engagement Officer to support communication, website management, and information systems across the office. The role combines content and engagement tasks with hands-on work in digital platforms and information management tools.
This position is particularly suited for someone who is curious, organised, and comfortable working with digital tools and structured information, and who is interested in learning more about international collaboration and internationalisation in higher education.
Your responsibilities
Your key responsibilities include: Information management & data systems:
- Act as an in-house CRM key user and service point, supporting colleagues in translating their plans into events, forms, and communications within the CRM, and contributing to the development, adaptation, and consistent use of CRM processes across the office.
- Ensure a high level of data quality within the CRM, including managing deduplication processes and supporting colleagues in maintaining accurate and consistent data input.
- Maintain and structure information related to international partnerships, activities, and stakeholders, and support the integration of relationship management and communication activities into central systems.
- Support data management, analysis, and reporting activities related to office initiatives and operations.
- Assist colleagues in segmenting and using the database to reach relevant target audiences for their projects and initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and application of monitoring and tracking approaches for external outreach, using analytics tools (e.g. Matomo, LinkedIn Analytics, CRM), and prepare short reports and analyses where required.
External and internal communication and support of office-wide activities:
- Coordinate and maintain external website content using the university's content management system (CMS) and support internal information sharing through the university's SharePoint platform.
- Draft and edit short texts in English on UZH's international activities, partnerships, and research collaborations for websites, newsletters, event materials, and other formats.
- Prepare social media content (particularly LinkedIn) for publication via the university's central communication channels.
- Support the planning and implementation of office projects, initiatives, and events, contributing to the smooth coordination of activities across the Global Affairs Office.
- Contribute flexibly to office priorities and support colleagues where coordination or operational assistance is needed.
- Support the coordination and management of high-level gifts and giveaways used in official visits and international engagements.
Your profile
You write clear and engaging texts in English and can adapt messages to different audiences and formats. You enjoy working with structured information and digital platforms and are curious about how communication channels, digital tools, and data can support international collaboration in higher education.
You work confidently with Office 365 and its collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint, Teams, Outlook) and are comfortable working with structured information and datasets, including CRM platforms and databases. Familiarity with website content management systems and professional social media platforms such as LinkedIn would be beneficial. Experience with CRM systems and databases is an advantage, as is an interest in learning and working with new digital tools and software. Experience with CMS platforms and with event invitation and booking processes (e.g. guest management) is considered an asset.
Excellent written English is essential; German is an asset.
