Applications are invited for a postdoc position in computational psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, University of Zurich. The candidate will work in the lab of Prof. Philipp Homan in the context of the European Research Council (ERC) Synergy project DELTA-LANG.
The DELTA-LANG project focuses on the linguistic and neurobiological changes that occur during different states of psychosis – from the acute stage to remission. Its aim is to develop a detailed index for speech disturbances in psychosis and the underlying thought processes. The project involves the development and implementation of novel experimental paradigms and the use of methods including multimodal neuroimaging (e.g. model-based fMRI, diffusion weighted imaging, neuromelanin imaging), and computational modelling.

We are seeking an exceptional postdoctoral researcher to lead a small team of junior scholars in advanc-ing the objectives of the DELTA-LANG ERC Synergy Project and exploring the intricate connections be-tween language, brain function, and mental health. The successful candidate will work with rich multimod-al datasets, propose innovative spin-off projects, and drive high-impact research at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience and psychiatry. The candidate will also disseminate study results, including in peer reviewed journals and at conferences and will supervise graduate and undergraduate students.
