Laboratory of Neuroepigenetics, Brain Research Institute and Institute of Neuroscience, UZH/ETHZ.
The laboratory of Neuroepigenetics is a biology research group at the University Zürich (UZH) and ETH Zürich. It conducts fundamental research on how the brain and body are modified by environmental factors and life experiences and the consequences for physiology, behavior and health. The lab is composed of researchers, doctoral and postdoctoral students, and technical staff working in close collaboration on complementary research projects. The lab provides teaching to undergraduate and graduate students at UZH and ETHZ.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage administrative support for a research group of about 15 people
  • Manage ressearch group's finances and budget (including research grants)
  • Responsible for personnel administration (contracts)
  • Prepare annual reports
  • General administrative duties
  • Support in events organized by the research group
  • Correspondence in English and German

Your profile

  • Solid background in secretary work and administration or university degree (e.g. BSc in - - Business Administration)
  • Professional experience as adminitrative assistant or secretary of minimum 3 years
  • Experience in an academic institution (Swiss university) or environment
  • Service-oriented, dynamic and communicative
  • Very good English and German language skills (written and spoken)
  • Independent and precise workstyle
  • Enjoy working as part of team
  • Sound computer skills (MSOffice, SAP)
  • Flair for solution-oriented, unbureaucratic approaches
